Frequently Asked Questions

To start playing IdleRPG:

1. Register — Use REGISTER <character> <password> [class] in the game channel
2. Login — Use LOGIN <character> <password>
3. Play! — Your character will automatically gain experience over time

Example: REGISTER MyHero secret123 warrior

You can also register without specifying a class — one will be randomly assigned!

Leveling up in IdleRPG is automatic! Your character gains experience over time.

• TTL (Time To Level) — This is the time remaining until your next level
• You can check your TTL with WHOAMI or STATUS
• Higher levels take longer to reach
• You can reduce your TTL by: BATTLE, BOSS, QUESTS, and random events

When you level up, you gain gold and may find new items!

Combat in IdleRPG is automatic and based on your character's power:

• Item Power — The total level of all your equipped items
• Class Bonus — Some classes get combat bonuses
• Alignment Bonus — Good and Evil alignments provide small bonuses

Use BATTLE to fight another player (1 hour cooldown)

Use BOSS to fight a boss monster (2 hour cooldown)

Winning battles reduces your TTL and earns gold!

Items are equipment that increase your character's power.

• 10 item slots: Amulet, Charm, Helmet, Boots, Gloves, Ring, Leggings, Shield, Tunic, Weapon
• Quality tiers: Common (a), Rare (b), Epic (c), Legendary (d)
• How to get items: Leveling up, completing quests, random events

Use ITEMS or INVENTORY to view your items!

Alignment represents your character's moral stance:

• Good — 5% combat bonus, affected by Goodness events
• Neutral — No bonuses or penalties
• Evil — 3% combat bonus, affected by Evilness events

Change your alignment with ALIGN <good|neutral|evil>

Quests are special events that randomly start in the game:

• 4 players are selected as quest participants
• Time-based quests — Complete before time runs out
• Map-based quests — Reach specific locations on the map
• Completing a quest reduces TTL by 25% and rewards gold

⚠️ Warning: Leaving the channel during a quest will penalize your character and may cause the entire quest to fail!

To create a guild, you need:

• Level 15+ — You must be at least level 15
• 1000 gold — It costs 1000 gold to found a guild

Use GUILDCREATE <guild_name> to create your guild!

Joining a guild is simple:

• Use GUILDLIST or GLIST to see all guilds
• Use GUILDJOIN <guild_name> to join

Use GUILDLEAVE to leave your current guild.

Guilds can construct various buildings to unlock abilities:

• 🏛️ Guild Hall — Foundation (unlocked by default)
• ⚔️ Barracks — +15% war power (1200g)
• 🔥 Forge — Unlocks CRAFT command (2000g)
• 🗼 Watchtower — Raid warning system (800g)
• 💎 Treasury — Reduces member taxes by 0.5% per level (3000g)
• 🏰 Castle — Enables Guild War declarations (15000g)

Use GUILDBUILD <building> to construct buildings.

Buildings require workers. Hire workers with GUILDHIRE <type> [count].

Guilds unlock perks as they level up:

• Level 2 — 🪙 Gold Bonus: +10% gold from events
• Level 3 — ⭐ XP Bonus: +5% experience from battles
• Level 5 — ⏱️ Cooldown Reduction: -10% cooldowns
• Level 7 — ⚔️ Combat Mastery: +50 combat power per member
• Level 10 — 🍀 Legendary Luck: 2x item blessing chance

Guilds gain XP from quests, boss fights, and wars!

Guild wars are epic battles between guilds that require a Castle:

• Declaration — 24 hour preparation period (costs 500g)
• Skirmish — 3 battles over 24 hours
• Siege — Attack the enemy guild hall
• Final Battle — All members fight
• Conquest — Winner receives 20% of loser's gold!

Guild leaders can declare war with GUILDWAR DECLARE <guild_name>

Guild members contribute a portion of their gold to the guild treasury:

• 0% — For players with less than 1000g
• 1% — For players with 1000-5000g
• 2% — For players with 5000-20000g
• 3.5% — For players with 20000g+

Tax reductions:

• Treasury building — Reduces tax by 0.5% per guild level (max 2%)
• Barbarian class — Reduces tax by an additional 1%

Taxes are collected every 20 minutes while online.

Gold can be earned through various activities:

• Leveling up — Receive gold based on your level
• BATTLE — Win duels against other players
• BOSS — Defeat boss monsters
• Quests — Complete quests for rewards
• Idle income — Earn 1 gold per 30 minutes while online

Gold has many uses in IdleRPG:

• Guild creation — 1000g to start a guild
• Buildings — Construct guild buildings (various costs)
• Workers — Hire guild workers (50-200g each)
• War declarations — 500g to start a guild war

Save up your gold for big purchases!

• Use BATTLE — Winning duels reduces your TTL
• Use BOSS — Boss fights give bigger TTL reductions
• Participate in Quests — Quests give 25% TTL reduction
• Stay online — Your character gains experience while online
• Join a guild — Guilds provide benefits and support
• Use ITEMS — Better items increase battle power

4. Save gold — You need 1000 gold for a guild
5. Level up — Wait for your TTL to reach 0
6. Find items — Level up to find new equipment
7. Battle — Fight players and bosses for rewards
8. Join a guild — Once you have gold, join or create a guild

• Don't forget to LOGOUT — Your character stays online until you logout
• Don't spam commands — There's a 2 second cooldown between commands
• Don't change alignment too often — It announces in the channel
• Don't waste gold — Save 1000g for guild creation
• Don't ignore quests — They're a great way to reduce TTL
• Don't leave during quests — You'll be penalized and may fail the quest for everyone
• Don't neglect your guild — Build buildings and hire workers for bonuses

You can track your character's location in several ways:

• WHOAMI — Shows your X,Y coordinates
• WHERE — Displays your current position
• World Map — Visit the World Map page to see all players

Your character moves randomly around the map every game tick!
